WWE TLC 2009 Results
The show kicked off live from San Antonio, Texas; the huge set featured dozens of tables, ladders and chairs suspended from wires and a bright red RAW-type lighting scheme. Very cool set! The ECW Championship was suspended over the ring, meaning the first match was to be Christian vs. Shelton Benjamin in [...]
Friday night Smackdown!, the go-home show to the new TLC Pay Per View, kicked off with a bang from Houston, Texas. The Animal came out to open the show to vociferous boos. He got on the mic to talk about a couple of things, the first of which is that Rey Mysterio, and not him, asked [...]
WWE Smackdown!! Came at us from Hampton, Virginia. CM Punk opened the show, coming to ringside with his apparent protégé, Luke Gallows. Stryker explained that Festus was a personality brought on by addiction to prescription drugs but that Punk sponsored and saved him. His opponent, the ever gregarious R Truth rapped his way to the ring and [...]
Raw’s Thanksgiving special, was live from Hershey, Pennsylvania, and hosted by Jesse Ventura!
The first blockbuster announcement was that CM Punk would meet John Cena for the first time ever, later that night!
Justin Roberts was in the ring to announce Jesse “The Governor” Ventura, but RKO hit the ring instead! He asked Ventura to break the [...]
Live from Washington, D.C. it was Survivor Series 2009!
We got right to the action with a traditional heels vs. faces Survivor Series elimination tag team match. It was heels The Miz, Drew McIntyre, Jack Swagger, Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler taking on the babyfave team of John Morrison, Matt Hardy, Finlay, Evan Bourne, and Shelton Benjamin. [...]
This was the go-home show to Survivor Series, and the crowd in Philadelphia was ravenous. Opening the show were Batista, who entered the ring to an unusual chorus of boos, due to his recent mistreatment of Rey Mysterio. He was able to defeat Matt Hardy, who seems to have been relegated to jobber status since [...]
On tape from the United Kingdom (city not specified, but it looked like Wembley Stadium) it’s WWE Smackdown! They made use of a much smaller set during the recent European tour, probably due to the expense of hauling the sets around. They should really get a storehouse over there and keep a set on that [...]
Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio kicked off the show, coming to the ring to a fairly loud pop, Rey is always popular with the LA crowd. A main event was announced for later, Rey and Jeff Hardy against Y2J and Edge. Smackdown! has been putting on some crazy main events lately! Rey cut a promo cleverly [...]
The show opened with a rematch of the Edge/Jeff Hardy Championship match from Judgement Day, which Edge won with the Edgecutioner, and then the opening ran. I think they need to redo the theme music and maybe the whole intro package, it’s sorta cheesy…then again, they’re in Cincinatti, so that’s pretty appropriate.
Justin Roberts introduced Edge, [...]
The show, taped inPittsburgh, opened with a video package reminding us of how Jeff Hardy came to be the number one contender, last week on Smackdown!. Then, Teddy Long hit the ring, poppin’ like it’s hot, as usual. He introduced Rey Mysterio, who came out to a huge pop. He said that last week Jeff Hardy was [...]
